GreenWing is developing solar project sites in Nevada, Arizona and California which are suitable for the deployment of utility-scale PV solar power. These three states in the American southwest offer abundant sunshine and present an excellent opportunity for the successful deployment of utility-scale solar projects. All three states represent significant electricity loads which typically peak during the middle of the day and during the warm summer months. This load profile coincides perfectly with the daily and annual output of solar energy generation. Likewise, the best solar exposure locations in these states typically have limited supplies of water, making PV an excellent choice.

GreenWing and SolFocus, Inc., a manufacturer of concentrating PV technology, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to develop solar sites using SolFocus technology. This exciting relationship will allow GreenWing to deliver competitive, environmentally-sound solar generated electricity from small distributed-generation projects all the way up to utility-scale projects.
