MICHAEL CHAPIN
Vice President Corporate Development
Mike Chapin is a founding shareholder of GreenWing Energy Management Ltd. and is responsible for leading GreenWing’s corporate acquisition and development activities.

Mike is an accomplished energy professional with 32 years of domestic and international experience in power development and financing, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence analysis, commodities trading and contract development, negotiations and administration. Throughout his career he has been involved with over 3,500MWs of power facility developments and 3,000MWs of generating asset acquisitions.

As President of a management consultancy, Mike advised and assumed the lead role in transactions with many of the top energy companies in North America including El Paso Corp., AES Corp., Sunlaw Energy, Tenaska, and Cogentrix. Between 1986 and 1995 Mike held senior positions at a number of major utility companies, including Vice President of BC Gas Inc.’s (Terasen Inc.) non-regulated subsidiary and as a member of the team that started CU Power International (now Atco Power) where he developed projects in North America and internationally. Mr. Chapin began his career with TransAlta Corp. and Atco Power.

Mike received his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1976.
